LizetteArt Bio

Lizette’s resume is a rich mosaic – as textured with experience, beauty and spirit as the vivid images she produces on canvas. LizetteArt is a coming of age for both the artist and her art. Lizette admits she is uninhibited by trends or acclaimed work of her contemporaries. True to her individualistic form, LizetteArt is a genuine expression of the emotions and colors of the feminine spirit.

Her journey as a recognized artist began in high school where she received the Senior Art Award. In 1974, Lizette opened Sign Design specializing in hand applying art design logos and lettering for other businesses. In 1982 she studied jewelry and metalsmithing at Eastern Kentucky University. This led to experimenting with dimensional textures, shapes and images on canvas. Most all of this early works have since sold at auction or are with private collectors.

Life changes, including moves to Los Angeles and Scottsdale, AZ., took precedence over her craft until 1998 when Lizette returned to Kentucky and painting with the development of the Faces Collection.

In 1999, the virtual gallery, Lizette.com was created. As a featured artist on Studio.com for December 1999, a new avenue for the artwork opened on the Internet.  A new direction was taken in 2001 when a series of masks were created with the face designs. They were sold in New Orleans and Key West.

In 2003 the art was put in storage for Lizette to pursue a successful career in real estate specializing in residential homes and horse farms. She opened her own boutique specialty brokerage, Lizette Realty in 2009. During this time, only a few paintings were created, but a new line of jewelry was designed with items from the past integrated with stones/beads and found objects to become a new creation. Soon, these designs will be available on the new website www.lizetteArt.com.

With the 2015 re-launch of www.lizetteArt, she has opened an online store that prints her paintings and photography on iPhone Cases & Skins, Samsung Galaxy Cases & Skins, Posters, Throw Pillows, Tote Bags, Studio Pouches, Mugs, Travel Mugs, Photographic Prints, Art Prints, Framed Prints, Canvas Prints, Metal Prints, Greeting Cards, iPad Cases & Skins and clothing.
